FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENT!

Nana Dara is Gay to premiere at LA Shorts Int'l Film Festival

JULY 21, 2023 • It’s 1970 and no amount of sweet tea and vodka will ease the tension when Nana Dara makes a big gay announcement to her two step-kids: the flamboyant, Bible-thumping Miss Debbie and her “sister who’s a mister,” Eddie (that's me!).

Based on characters in the award winning novel SUGAR LAND, Nana Dara is Gay, zeroes in on the moment Nana Dara has avoided for 40 years.

Fresh from screening at the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase in Cannes this May, Nana Dara is coming to the states via the Oscar & BAFTA Qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival.
